Cinxia update and yarn acquisition

Since finishing my first pair of socks, I've been diligently working on my Cinxia and finally feel like I'm getting somewhere. I measured it this morning, and it appears that sticking with the size 7 needle and knitting the small from the pattern has paid off. I'm just about where I like a sweater to be. The true test will come when I try it on sans needle. The second decrease row was where I finished off last night during Without a Trace. It was weird to watch the gal from ER speaking without an English accent. Seemed like it was dubbed. Bothered me the whole show, but then, I'm a bit strange about stuff like that. Back to Cinxia--I'm hoping to have enough yarn--I have 3/4 of the skein in the photo, plus one more full skein. Should be more than enough, but I always worry about not having enough yarn to finish a project.
In my mail yesterday was a wonderful, squishy package from The Knitter . Yesssss, my Trekking XXL 100 had arrived at last! I can't keep my hands off of it and am dying to knit up a pair of socks with it. However, I am not so patiently waiting (just kidding, April) for April to post her pics and tutorial on using 2 circs to knit 2 socks. I unsuccessfully tried using the Magic Loop to knit 2 socks on one circ on Monday while Mom was at the
medical center, but that was neither the time nor the place for such work--especially since it was my first go at it. Instead I cast-on one gray sock for some pretty mindless knitting while we waited.
Today I hope to get a couple of 1 or 2 circs to use with the Trekking for knitting 2 socks at once. I also recently acquired some Lion Brand Magic Stripes for more socks. Good grief.......I'm obsessed........with sock yarn...........and socks!!! Also today Mom, Dad, my grandmother, and I are heading to the craft show we attend each year. I am on the lookout for some loose lavender to make sachets to add to my stash containers and knitting bags to keep little critters at bay. We have some weird bugs in the house--I cannot find anything on the 'net that looks like them. But they definitely love yarn! I read somewhere about sprinkling the carpets with boric acid--safe for humans and animals, but deadly for the creepy, crawly, yarn-eaters. I'm checking for it at Wal-mart today.
I'm off to run errands and then pick-up the folks for our outting to the craft show and lys--they don't know about that side-trip yet :o)
